DECEMBER 2008
  • Cato-Meridian is looking for three more teams for it's dual meet tournament on December 13. Projected teams so far are Hilton and Auburn. Please contact Coach Dan Butler at (315) 255-8540 or (315) 877- 3091.
  • The Battle for the Tier Dual meet Tournament at Johnson City High School is looking for 2 more teams. The Tournament is on Saturday December 6th, 2008. We plan on every team getting 3 or 4 matches. If you need more info call Coach Peter Capone at 607-722-1274 or e-mail ppcapone@hotmail.com
  • Owego (Section 4) has openings for their dual meet tourney on December 19th and 20th. You will get up to 9 matches in the 2 days. 96 and 285 will count towards the team scoring. If you are interested contact Eric D’Arcy @ edarcy@nvcs.stier.org or (607) 642-8351.

  • Phoenix is looking for a 6th team to fill out their dual meet tournament on Dec 20. Phoenix, Canastota, ESM, Irondequoit and Greene are committed to the tournament.   • The Elmira Tournament has openings for more teams. It is a 1 day tournament on December 13 at Elmira Free Academy.   • Bainbridge-Guilford-Afton is looking for one more Section III team to fill out it's III vs IV quad-meet at BGA this year. The Dec 20 meet features BGA, Tioga, and Fulton. JANUARY 2009
  • The 2nd Annual Mountain Duals is expanding to 20 teams this year. The tournament is scheduled for January 2nd and 3rd at Dolgeville Central School. 2 Pools of 10 teams with a crossover on day 2 to get your 10th match in.   • The Richard New Memorial Tournament in Canastota is looking for 6-8 more teams to fill out the field. The 2009 event will take place on January 16-17 at the Canastota High School on Roberts Street. This premiere event has showcased some of the best in state-wide talent in years past, with participants from a number of sections throughout the state.   • Baldwinsville is hosting a dual meet tournament on Jan 17th and needs four more teams to complete the field. It will be a one-day, six-team tournament with each team getting five duals. Format will be five rounds on three mats with a break after three rounds. Trophies for first and second place teams and outstanding wrestler awards for each team.   • Williamson (Section V) is looking for teams for their dual meet tournament on February 7, 2009. It is a round-robin tournament with every effort made to get 5 matches per wrestler.
